On 9 August at 9 PM, Heldeke! in Tallinn will host Persian Tunes, a solo piano concert by composer and pianist Arashk Azizi. The evening will present contemporary classical arrangements of some of the most beloved melodies from Iran, reimagined for piano.
The programme is inspired by iconic works such as Bahar Delnashin, Hezar Dastan, Sari Gelin, Dokhtar Boirahmadi, Navaei and Morghe Sahar. Through his own arrangements, Azizi breathes new life into these timeless tunes, blending their rich cultural heritage with the expressive depth of modern classical music.
Known for his narrative, story-driven approach to composition, Arashk Azizi invites audiences on a journey that bridges tradition and innovation. Persian Tunes offers listeners both a celebration of Persian musical heritage and a fresh artistic interpretation for the contemporary stage.
